Suffolk Youth Football League

The league has expanded from small beginnings to cover nearly all of the county from Newmarket near Bury St Edmunds in the West, Felixstowe in the East, Leiston to the North and Boxford in the South.

SYFL won the Suffolk league of the year and regional league of the year 2015-2016 a testament to the behind the scenes work that goes on trying to constantly improve youth football under the Suffolk Youth Football League banner

Expect continued expansion and constant improvements as we strive to bring more children into football and keep more children playing football through their teenage years

The children play 5v5 , 7v7 , 9v9 or 11v11 depending on their age , the pitches and team sizes grow with age.

Leagues are recorded from U12 onwards whilst U9 and above play non recorded games and have a cup competition , Staring in 2019/20 We have had our U7 mini games and tournaments to help develop the young players coming through. This has continued to grow and our number reach big figures in terms of participation. All information can be found on this website within the relevant sections.

We aim to cover all games from U12 and above with a qualified referee affiliated to Suffolk FA , all coaches must hold the required coaching qualifications , first aiders have to be in place at all games and coaching sessions and all coaches will have had a CRB/DBS check to ensure they are suitable to coach the children.
